  Niroo Research Institute was selected as one of the three candidates to host the ECO Clean Energy Center

During the virtual evaluation meeting of the candidates for hosting the ECO Clean Energy Center, which was held on Wednesday, September 8, this year, Niroo Research Institute was selected as one of the three final candidates for hosting the ECO Clean Energy Center. The meeting was attended by the representative of the ECO Secretariat, Mr. Roshan Mirzayev, the representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Mr. Gentjan Sama, representatives of Azerbaijan from the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, representatives of Turkey from the Turkish Nuclear and Mineral Energy Research Agency (Tanmak) Mr. Arkan Haski Aghloo Deputy Director of the Center with Ms. Borna Yuksel, Sibel Onloo and representatives of Iran Dr. Nastaran Rahimi Deputy Director of Industrial Support of the Center for International Affairs and Water and Power Diplomacy Coordination of the Ministry of Energy and Dr. Abbas Bahri Deputy Director of the Energy and Environment Research Institute and Dr. Ashkan Zolriastin The International Affairs Office of the Niroo Research Institute was held in the zoom environment (by the ECO Secretariat in Tehran). In this meeting, which was held in coordination with the Center for International Affairs and the coordination of water and electricity diplomacy of the Ministry of Energy; Dr. Ashkan Zolriastin, Head of International Affairs, Niroo Research Institute, while briefly introducing Iran, Tehran city facilities and Niroo Research Institute, introduced Niroo Research Institute in terms of location, mission, goals, activities, software and hardware facilities, infrastructure facilities, laboratory facilities and international activities. Dr. Abbas Bahri, while introducing the Energy and Environment Research Institute and the Renewable Energy Research Group, referred to the projects and activities. In this meeting, along with Niroo Research Institute from Iran, two countries, Azerbaijan and Turkey, have also been nominated to host this center. The applicants for hosting the Clean Energy Center of ECO member countries explained the facilities and capabilities of the country and their related scientific centers for hosting, and at the end of the meeting it was decided to determine the final host after summarizing the submissions and materials submitted to ECO Secretariat.
