The first face-to-face meeting of the members of Open-ended Scientific Group of the Minamata Convention on Mercury was held
The first in-person meeting of the Open-ended Scientific Group (OESG) of The Minamata convention on mercury took place in Geneva, Switzerland from 27 to 31 March 2023. After holding six online meetings of the members of this group, this meeting was held to review the draft of three plans related to mercury monitoring in different media including the air, water, soil, human body and biota and mercury emissions and releases from the anthropogenic sources into the environment as well as mercury data analysis and modelling. In this meeting, Dr. Saeed Nazari Kudehi, faculty member of environment research group of Niroo Research Institute (NRI), was present as the representative of Iran.
